CATEGORIES

2-D Categories

(1) Drawing:

Pastel, Charcoal, Colored Pencil, Graphite, Ink, Marker, Oil Pastel, Chalk, Pen, Crayon.

(2) Painting:

Acrylic, Encaustic, Casein, Fresco, Gouache, Oil, Tempera or Enamel on any painting surface.
(3) Watercolor:

Paint mixed with water to create transparent layers of color on paper (Watercolors painted on any surface other than paper will be put in the Painting category).

(4) Digital:

Any artwork that uses digital technology as a key part of the creative process. It includes Digital Painting, Digital Drawing, Digital Illustration, Digital Photo, Digital Sculpture.

3-D Categories

(5) Sculpture:

Three dimensional art that involves carving, modeling, casting, or constructing materials like clay, wood, stone, metal, fabric, or “found” objects into works of art.

(6) Ceramic:

Art that involves shaping clay and baking it to create objects such as pottery, tiles, and sculptures.

(7) Wood:

A variety of artistic techniques and forms that use wood as the primary medium

(8) Glass:

Works of art that are substantially or wholly made of glass

RULES 

(A) You may enter only one work of art per Category.

(B) 2D Artwork should framed with hanging wire or, mounted on foam board or heavy cardboard. 

(C) Maximum size of 2-D artwork is 36” wide.
(D) 3D Artwork should be stable and secure for exhibiting and not easily tipped over.
(E) Artwork entered in previous Corn Festival Art Shows are discouraged. 

(F) No nude or suggestive artwork.
(G) The EXibit Gallery has the right to reject any work of art for exhibition, for any reason.

PICK UP DAY
All entries can be picked up at the gallery on (Sun.) Sep. 28, 2025 from Noon - 5pm. (or, call the EXibit Gallery at 815-258-5191 to make an appointment for pick up).
