Eligibility: Anyone who has served in the Military.


Cost: No entry fee.


Artwork accepted: All forms of artistic expression in any medium.


Maximum number of entries: three entries per artist.


Prizes: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, People’s Choice, and sponsored gifts.


How to enter: 

(A) Print the PDF of the entry form and fill it out.

(B) Photograph your artwork and include the image with your entry form.

(C) Include a Biography/Artist’s Statement with your entry form.

(D) Mail your entry form, images of artwork, and Biography/Artist Statement to:

Judging: The show will be judged by a professional artist (to be announced).


Sales: The EXibit Fine Art Center and Gallery will handle all sales during the show and retain a 20% commission on all artwork sold during the exhibition. The EXibit will deduct the 20% commission from the artist's asking price (So add 20% to your price if you want to sell your work). Artwork that is not for sale must be marked NFS (Not For Sale) on the entry form. 

Artwork Insurance: Individuals will be accountable for insuring their own artwork. 


Public Liability Insurance: The EXibit Gallery holds Public Liability Insurance, and a copy of this policy is available, upon request. 


Installation: Artwork must be suitable for hanging with D-hooks and wire (no sawtooth hanger please) Print your name on the back, or bottom, of your artwork (or attach a return mailing label) for identification.



Delivery of Artwork to Gallery

Hand Delivered Work: Artwork accepted for the exhibition may be hand delivered during regular gallery hours (Saturdays 11am-2pm) or call 815-258-5191 Monday-Friday to make an appointment to drop it off at the gallery.  Artist notification is (Mon) Oct. 10 and the drop-off deadline is (Fri) Nov. 4.

Shipped Work
The EXibit Gallery will accept delivery from artists wishing to ship their work. Artists are responsible for the costs of shipping and insurance. You must include a pre-printed return shipping label for your preferred carrier inside the box with your artwork. Artwork must be packed in reusable shipping materials. The EXibit Gallery assumes no liability for damages to your work during shipping or while in our possession. Work will be inspected upon arrival and you will be contacted about shipping damage. Boxes arriving with exterior damage will be photographed for you in the event you wish to pursue damage reimbursement with your shipper.

Pickup of Artwork after the show

For hand delivered work 

You may pick up your artwork during regular gallery hours (Saturdays 11am-2pm), or call 815-258-5191 (Monday-Friday) to make an appointment for pickup.

For shipped work 

Artwork will be repackaged and shipped in the same box it was delivered using the pre-paid return shipping label.
